Darakhshan Hasan

a second year student of BSW of G B University, sought internship with the Foundation and associated between 13 March & 25 April, 2019 under the educational intervention RISE, wherein she helped the project team in organizing events and drafting PBL curriculum alongside documenting the success stories of the beneficiaries. She even took interest in conducting a survey in the nearby communities of the South Delhi Slum area to understand the literacy quotient of children residing in the communities. Her work got appreciated in the Community and the project team too thanked her for the wonderful support

Akshat Sharma & Akshat Prashar

Law students of Galgotias University, interned with the Foundation for a period of one full month between 19 June & 19 July, 2019 as part of their academic studies. During their association they were assigned with task on creating awareness about basic human rights in the community under the skill development and educational project as well to draft legal notes on issues like domestic violence. They took the assigned tasks with great enthusiasm and completed the same with full integrity and carved an impact in the community as well

Oracle Volunteer Group

A team of 20 compassionate & enthusiastic employee volunteers from Oracle became an integral part of our AROH family in the last few days. The team led by Mr Manoj Jain (Director – Software Development, Oracle Noida) has partnered with AROH at multiple levels in a short span of 1 month to provide us an opportunity of fund raising by facilitating a stall sale of AROH products through which they eventually was aiming to support 50 underprivileged children of PAB center at Dallupura, Delhi.

A team constituting Vinod Kumar Dwivedi, Saurabh Jain, Mandeep Gupta, Vickul Taneja, Vikram Sharma, Prateek Gupta, Akshat Mehta,Himanshu Aggarwal, Nishith Pandey,Tanmay Garg, Varsha Maheshwari,Tarun Goyal, Jyotsana Bhatia, samriti gupta, Ritu Negi, Diksha Bhatti, Vinay Singh, Neetika Dureja,Pradeep pathak, Pankaj yadav, Nupur Rawat, Saurabh Jain, Tanvi Chaturvedi & Manoj Jain visited PAB center for need analysis, and after detail interactions with team AROH , staff & children came up with an initiative to revamp the ambience of PAB center to enhance teaching learning environment also ensured health, hygiene and basic essential by providing floor mats, benches, stationary, WASH accessories, and conducted learning sessions with children

The association is indeed a warm one and we anticipate much more productive collaboration in future too.

Poonam Nirjar

Poonam Nirjar, a student of MSW pursuing her post graduation from IGNOU, completed her internship of 45 days starting from 31 August to 5 October, 2012 with AROH Foundation

She was assigned the task of developing market linkages for the GARIMA beneficiaries and to market their products at local level. She was also assigned to develop success stories for selected GARIMA beneficiaries and to record the positive impact of the program in their daily life.

Poonam demonstrated excellent practical/analytical skills and completed the assigned task successfully within her scheduled time with full dedication.

Vipul Bhardwaj , a student of B.Tech pursuing his technical graduation from Ambedkar Technical University, Delhi worked as a volunteer at AROH Foundation

He was assigned the task of analyzing and verifying the registration forms of "Padho aur Badho" project, a flagship intervention of AROH Foundation, for non-formal education and mainstreaming of out-of-school children and to enter the collated data on line in the MIS.

Vipul demonstrated excellent analytical skills and completed the assigned task successfully within his scheduled time with full dedication.

Aditi Dubey is a student of Jiwaji University pursuing M.Sc. in Biotechnology has associated with AROH Foundation as a volunteer. She has worked with PAB team to understand and explore the benefits of PAB & GARIMA project for the underprivileged women & Children. She has visited all four clusters and interacted with beneficiaries. She has completed her field assignment successfully within her scheduled time frame and also shared her experience with the team.

Sonakshi

Sonakshi Bahl, a student of B.Sc., Economics pursuing her graduation from Symbiosis International University, Pune, worked on an internship assignment at AROH Foundation

She was assigned the task of documenting case studies of Padho aur Badho beneficiaries, a flagship intervention of AROH Foundation, for non-formal education and mainstreaming of out-of-school children.

Mayank

Mayank Bhatia, student of MBA (Banking) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai worked as intern with PAB project of AROH Foundation. He was assigned the task to develop Monitoring Tool and Suggestions for improvement of Padho Aur Badho and Vocational Training Courses. To complete the assigned task, he visited various centres of PAB, GARIMA and UDAAN during his internship and developed some excellent monitoring tools and teaching techniques for the effective monitoring and proper functioning of the projects.

Ekta

Ekta Jha a first year student of B.A.LL.B from New Law College, Pune, was associated with PAB team as Intern. During her internship, she worked for the out-of-school children in the slums of East Delhi, on the topic Right to Education with special reference to child Rights. She has made available law related to child rights. She also involved in various event and activities of PAB.

Tarana

Tarana Melodie Duhaut is an overseas volunteer; student of MA development studies from Sussex University has associated with PAB & GAIL- GARIMA project. She has intensively worked on the topic GARIMA for Mothers an enabling tool to improve enrolment and retention of PAB children. She has also assessed that whether economic empowerment of mothers through GARIMA is an effective tool and positive step to protect their children from child labour and to ensure their right to education. She participated in various workshops and interacted with PAB & GARIMA beneficiaries and found out the problems they are facing in daily life.

Mansi

Mansi Chanana, a postgraduate in Human Relations and Labour Management from TISS, Mumbai worked as an intern with AROH and PAB team. She helped the team in standardization of teaching tools and creation of periodic testing tools for Padho aur Badho. She made some excellent teaching and testing tools which can help PAB teachers in conducting their teaching-learning more effectively. She also created tools and formats for documenting case studies and success stories for projects being implemented by AROH Foundation.

Vinay

Vikas Sharma, a BSW student of IGNOU worked with PAB team as Intern in Noida & East Delhi cluster. He wanted to understand and learn the concept and implementation process of PAB.

Students of NMIMS

formerly Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, a deemed-to-be-university, interned with the Foundation for a period of one month in the month of February, 2018. As part of their academic studies in the business administration, the university has chartered a program for civic engagement known as “We Care” for the students to practically involve themselves and gain knowledge on community development. As part of their academic curriculum, the group of four students completed their internship by gaining hands on experience by working alongside the professionals and by interacting with beneficiaries of various interventions of the Foundation. Post the internship, they were able to understand the gaps in the community and vouched to support the Foundation’s various causes.

Department of Social Work

Gautam Buddha University, for long, has been partnering with the Foundation for internship program for their social work students. This year too, a group of four students were attached with the Foundation for their concurrent fieldwork, wherein they would work at community level interacting directly with the beneficiaries of the program they were assigned with for a period of six months from October, 2017 to April, 2018. The interns, post the orientation of the interventions were assigned with regular tasks and duties of their preferred sector and they all with curiousness worked with the project team and even organized street plays at project locations on creating awareness on World Water Day. Their passion and excellence towards their work was commendable

Amity University

A group of Students from Amity University, pursuing their Masters in Social Work, interned with the Foundation for a period of twenty days spread across 3 months starting from January to March, 2018 as part of their academic studies. Based on their interests, the students were attached with the various interventions of the Foundation like Education, Rural Development, Media, Skill Development and they learnt the process of implementation of social programmes at community level as they would be a part of social change in the future as CSR professionals.

Akshita Bhardwaj

Akshita, a student of B.Pharm of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune volunteered with the Foundation’s education intervention “RISE” during her summer vacation from January to March, 2018 and involved in organizing various events like painting, oration, music, learning etc. for the tiny tot beneficiaries of the intervention. Beneficiaries too enjoyed and learnt new things during her association. She got involved in data collection of the project area and helped in organizing a health camp for the beneficiaries as well the parents of the beneficiaries and conducted a workshop for a better healthier living. Her involvement towards the Foundations cause remained remarkable

Aleeza, Amity University

Aleeza, a student of MSW of Amity University, Noida volunteered with the Foundation’s education intervention “RISE” during her field work from July 2018 and involved in organizing various events like competitions, dance activities, photography etc. for the tiny tot beneficiaries of the intervention. Beneficiaries too enjoyed and learnt new things during her association. She got involved in question paper making of the project area and helped in generating curriculum for the beneficiaries. She worked on various articles for newsletter. Her involvement towards the Foundations cause remained remarkable.

Garima, Amity University
