The Award recognizes Dr. Neelam Gupta's significant work towards Women, Youth & Child Empowerment and enabling women and girl child in the society to overcome social barriers and gender inequality.

Dr. Neelam Gupta, President and CEO of AROH Foundation have been honoured with the prestigious “CSR Professional of the Year Award" at the CSR Times Awards 2019 in Delhi in presence of renowned politician Mr Sunil Shashtri and H.E. Yogesh Punja, High Commissioner at Fiji High Commission.
The award has been conferred for her outstanding professional achievement and social contributions towards socio-economic upliftment of several thousands of poor, marginalised and unreached populations in slums and remote rural areas through education and livelihood programmes at the function held on 18 September 2019 at India Habitat Centre.
The Foundation has also been conferred with “Best NGO” award for its project “Jal Shakti”- an initiative towards Water conservation & Management, Rivers, Inland waterways during the National CSR summit held at the same venue. Beginning from a humble attempt to work at the grassroots for providing equal opportunities in education and livelihood in 2008, AROH has today grown into a large multi-sectoral NGO, reaching out to lakhs of poor people under the spirited leadership and able guidance of its Founder President Dr Neelam Gupta.
AROH Foundation was conferred with "Best NGO in Skill Development" award by ASSOCHAM in the National Summit cum awards in Skill Development event held in Ranchi on 7th June, 2019 by honorable Shri CP Singh (Minister for Urban Development, Housing and Transport, Government of Jharkhand) and honorable Shri Saryu Rai (Minister for Food and Civil Supply, Government of Jharkhand) along with other eminent jury members.
NGO AROH Foundation was awarded the prestigious “Innovative Practices Awards 2019 for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” for its extraordinary contribution towards the social causes under its Holistic Rural Development Programme which is being implemented under CSR support of HDFC. The Award was presented to Dr Neelam Gupta, Founder & CEO, AROH Foundation at the United Nations Global Compact Network India 14th National Convention on 31st May 2019 in Mumbai.
Mr Renata Dessallien, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative & Bibek Debroy, who is currently serving as the Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and a part of Niti Ayog along with other eminent members conferred the award to Dr Gupta.
On the occasion, Dr Gupta said, "Achieving the SDGs is no more a matter of choice but is imperative for all if we want our nation to progress. In fact, achieving SDGs is critical to our survival on the planet. AROH is committed to addressing all 17 SDGs through its various multi-sectoral initiatives and grassroots interventions.
The Summit also held day-long deliberations and reflections by the thought leaders on the Sustainable Development Goals. Various organizations across India including Public and Private Sector Enterprises, Multinationals, MSMEs, NGOs, Entrepreneurs and B-schools were invited to submit case studies showcasing their efforts and initiatives implementing CSR and Sustainability initiative aligned with one or more of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
AROH Foundation is well recognized for its pioneering programmes in sectors of Education, Livelihoods, Health and Sanitation and Renewable Energy. The event helps in enabling an ecosystem of exchange, sisterhood, inspiration and propelling women's economic empowerment and influence in ALL walks of life.
Dr Neelam Gupta, President & CEO of AROH Foundation, participated in this years WEF held on 15th April’19 at Vivanta by Taj , Dwarka Delhi and was one of the panelist speaker during the event. Dr Gupta shared her thought provoking views & initiative towards the disdained but crucial agenda of Reclaiming our Public Spaces with Security. She reiterated, “Public spaces are the heart and soul of cities and citizens. They should be reclaimed and preserved to maintain the sanctity of places, their cultural roots and traditions. They must be safeguarded for women to freely access all public areas and spaces.”
She was also conferred upon with prestigious “Iconic Women creating a better World for all” for various initiatives and path breaking work done by AROH Foundation under her leadership.
The event was graced by many dignitaries from all walks of life from all over the globe. Heartfelt and stimulating discussions on how to make the world a better place to live were addressed through various discussions and channels during the event and invoked enough food for thought for all stalwarts to pause, rethink and redesign.
India CSR Leadership Summit is one the prestigious and biggest representing forums for CSR in India for the year 2019. CSR Act completed 5 Years on 1st April, 2019, on this occasion; India CSR Network organized a day long mega India CSR Leadership Summit & Awards (Giving Back Leadership Summit) in PHD House, New Delhi on April 1st, 2019. Dr Neelam Gupta , (President & CEO , AROH Foundation) was one of the panelist speaker during the event and shared her thought provoking views on Challenges, Experience, Knowhow, Methodology, Impact that AROH has witnessed working in the society over the last 5 years under CSR mandate. She was also conferred upon with prestigious “Most Impactful CSR Leader 2019” award during the event by renowned actor and philanthropist Mr Rahul Roy. The event was also solicited by national and international experts like Dr. Rene Schmidpeter (Director, Center for Advanced Sustainable Management), Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee also known as Father of CSR in India, who shared their thoughts and ideas on CSR trends and perspectives. Stimulating discussions over responsible business, sustainable development & way ahead were introduced to the audience during the event and invoked enough food for thought for all stalwarts to pause, rethink and redesign.

AROH Foundation received the ‘Innovative NGO Project Award’ for its School Sanitation Programme at the Chhattisgarh CSR Leadership Summit organised by India CSR group held at Hotel Babylon Inn in Raipur, Chhattisgarh on 24th August 2018 conferred by Shri Brijmohan Agarwal, the Chhattisgarh State Agricultural Minister in recognition of the comprehensive school sanitation programme taken up by the organisation in more than 200 government schools in eight districts of Chhattisgarh.
Our project, "Natural Resource Conservation & Optimization Initiative", funded by UFlex Ltd and implemented in villages of Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh has won the prestigious Bureaucracy Today - CSR Excellence Award 2017 in the category "Promoting Ecological & Environmental Sustainability".
The award was received jointly by AROH and UFlex at a gala ceremony held on Tuesday, 22 August 2017 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
The initiative was earlier awarded the 'CSR Leadership Award' by ABP News in February 2017.
Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) on 17th May, at its Manesar campus organized Convocation for its outgoing batch II of ICP in CSR. The batch consisted of 126 CSR professionals from renowned corporate who were felicitated by honorable minister of state for corporate affairs and finance Sri.Arjun Ram Meghwal. AROH Foundation, one of the partnering Institute of IICA has the credit of training 19 of these professionals. The 19 students batch comprised of professionals from renowned corporate like ONGC,NTPC,BEL, IOL, CIE, Roche ,TCS ,Abbott as well as two NRI learners. AROH foundation was awarded as an outstanding partner in the delivery of IICA certificate program for batch II. Most of the top rank holders were also from AROH foundation.
India CSR Network in association with Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi organized National Summit on Best Practices in CSR. The Project “Uttam Gram” by AROH Foundation & HDFC Bank on 03rd March 2017 was being named as a winner as Best Practices in CSR sector for its unique holistic, sustainable and comprehensive participatory approach towards the rural development. Padho aur Badho, is a unique and a pioneering effort by AROH in support with GAIL India Ltd for reaching out to the school dropout and out of school children residing in the slum areas of Delhi/NCR and bringing them under the fold of literacy through mainstreaming into formal schools.
This exemplary work carried out by AROH has turned the lives of more than 25000 children directly and have helped the parents understand and support their children in having an educated life. In recognizing the efforts by AROH, a certificate of appreciation has been conferred at the 1st Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya Awards for Best CSR Practices in Education, 2014 held at Scope Complex Delhi on 5 June, 2014 organized by CSR Times, in the presence of Justice (Retd.) M.S.A. Siddiqui, Chairman, National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Govt. of India, Mr. Shakti Sinha, a prominent orator at IAS Training Centre, Policy Research Group (also, former 3 times private secretary to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee).
AROH AROH Foundation bagged the BEST CSR Practices Award in Livelihood at the award ceremony of National CSR Conclave organized by Think Media Inc on 21 March 2014 at at Hotel Royal Plaza, Ashoka Road, New Delhi. AROH was declared a winner after a rigorous screening process and awarded for its efforts in providing sustainable livelihoods to more than 30,000 poor youth and women across the nation through pioneering and innovative CSR interventions like GARIMA, UDAAN, UTKARSH, etc.

AROH Foundation has been awarded with 'BEST NGO' award for its community outreach in the South Delhi cluster by the Municipal Councilor of the area. The councilor office assessed the works done by all the NGO's operating out of South Delhi and finalized AROH for its impactful service in the community. GAIL India's CSR initiative "Padho aur Badho" & "GARIMA" has influenced a lot of young women and children and their lives have changed for better. AROH Foundation has bagged the 'BEST COMMUNITY ACTION' award for Global Sustainability at the World CSR congress conference held on 18 February, 2013 at TAJ Lands End in Mumbai. The awards recognized sustainability champions across various NGO's, corporates and industries.
AROH bagged the prestigious award in recognition to the community work carried out at the grass root levels. The award was presentedduring the 2nd Blue Dart Global CSR Excellence & Leadership Awards at a glittering function at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai on February 18, 2013.
'Padho aur Badho', a GAIL CSR initiative being implemented by AROH Foundation for the past three years, was adjudged the best project under the category "Best Community Action Award" at the world CSR Congress for its extensive outreach and effort to realize "Education for All" in more than 100 slums of Delhi/NCR, ensuring schooling for more than 18,000 children at the glittering ceremony held at Taj Land Ends, Mumbai on 18 February 2013.

Akhil Vishwa Gayatrti Parvar(AVGP) felicitated AROH Foundation and Project RISE for exemplary performance in the yearlong scholarship examination for the children. Our star performers from RISE, Neeraj (13 years) won the Gold Medal, Ms Tanmaya (14 years) won the silver medal and Ms Divya (13 years) was awarded with bronze medal for their performance during the multi-level examination.
Around 100 well performing students were engaged into this scholarship examination last year and through rigorous training and screening over the year; finally 3 children are being awarded in the last. In this long process, AVGP also introduced our children to OMR sheets of answering question, which will be a common practice when these children would appear for any high exams in future. There are numerous ways in which these scholarships have been tailored for the purpose of ensuring that each student may avail to crucial pushing during their educational journeys, depending on their personal aspirations. This is a huge step that has been taken for helping the children to fulfill their dreams and not only that they will get exposer towards the news things and will learn lots of things that will help them to move ahead in a future .This initiative has a longer run in RISE and we to give every possible PUSH which is required to move towards their dreams.
Mrs Idamon Swer, Umtyngngar, Laitkroh is one of our star beneficiary of skill development and livelihood interventions being executed under Holistic Rural Development Project in the interior most villages of Meghalaya. Under the intervention, Mrs Swer was trained for demand driven business of poultry. Trained by experts of AROH for not only rearing of chicks, but also for market linkages and maintaining balance sheet, Mrs Swer is now earning around Rs 50,000 p.a. from her poultry intervention. For her ease, she was also provided by solar mini light, so that during dark, she can keep an eye on her chicks. For her exceptional business initiative, she was also awarded OUTSTANDING FARMER from A.H. & Veterinary Department, Sohra Sub Division, Shora, Meghalaya.
In her own words, she says, “it all started with baby steps, I was determined to use the opportunity given my AROH Foundation, when they provided me with 40 chicks & solar light. Along with expert’s training and my hard work, this has become one of the major sources of income for me. Thanks to team AROH for all support, now I intend to grow more as an entrepreneur.”
